Emergency procedure
- A person who notices a hazard or receives a warning (e.g., a weather report) should inform their supervisor.
- In the event of an immediate threat to health or life, the emergency services (911) should be called.
- Management shall decide on:
- temporarily suspending work,
- evacuation or sheltering in safe areas,
- switching to remote working (if possible).
- Employees shall secure their workstations and property, as long as this does not threaten their safety.
- In the event of evacuation, follow the designated routes and instructions.
- First aid shall be provided to injured persons.
- Work shall resume as normal once the threat has passed and the safety of the facility has been confirmed.
