Before you start work, remember that you must:
- Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
- Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
- Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines, equipment, and tools used in the workplace.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The foreman is responsible for:
- Properly preparing the employee to perform their work in the area of receiving pallet boxes.
- Providing the employee with the necessary protective equipment.
- Familiarizing the employee with safe work instructions and occupational risk assessment at the workplace.
The warehouse worker is responsible for:
- Checking the technical condition of the equipment and tools necessary to perform the task.
- Reporting any detected damage or irregularities to their supervisor.
- Checking the work environment for hazards.
- Checking that there is no water or other liquid in the upper containers.
WORK PROCESS
Receiving system:
- Pick up the pallet with the crates and place it in the receiving area.
- Use the mirror located at the gate to check that the pallet boxes are not filled with water or other liquids.

- If there is water or other liquid in the containers, with the assistance of a second employee, unfasten the transport strap or remove the foil and then the containers.

- Pour the water into a collection container, and in the case of other liquids, hand the pallet boxes over to the forklift operator to be emptied in the waste area (make sure that the floor remains dry after these steps).
- Place the emptied pallet boxes back on the pallet and secure them with transport straps.

What should NOT be done?
- Use damaged or faulty equipment.
- Perform repairs or modifications to the equipment and accompanying accessories yourself.
- Use equipment contrary to its intended purpose.
- Remove pallet boxes yourself.
- Transport pallet boxes before removing water/liquids from them.
Breakdown or accident?
- If an accident or failure has occurred, report it immediately to your supervisor.
- Warn people in your vicinity and secure the area against access by unauthorized persons.
- Take measures to prevent the risk from increasing or to eliminate it.
- In the event of an accident, immediately provide first aid to the injured person and, if necessary, call the emergency services.
