Rules for traffic on internal roads

Get ready for work—you must wear:

  • a work shirt and pants,
  • work shoes with composite toe caps,
  • a reflective vest (if you are a forklift operator),
  • a safety helmet (if there is a risk of head injury).

WALKING

  • When moving around the plant, use the designated pedestrian routes. 
  • If there is no pedestrian path, walk along the traffic route, as close to the left edge of the route as possible. 
  • Give way to carts moving along the passageways.
  • On busy traffic routes, walk one behind the other; if there is little traffic, you can walk side by side (maximum 2 people).
  • Obey the signs.
  • Do not use your phone while moving around the plant.
  • Do not go close to the edge. 

MOVING WITH TRUCKS (FORKLIFTS, HAND TRUCKS, ELECTRIC PALLET TRUCKS)

  • Do not move around the plant without familiarizing yourself with the rules for safe movement on the premises.
  • Wear a reflective vest when moving around the plant. 
  • Keep an eye on the load, the road, the surroundings, especially pedestrians, and the forklift indicators while driving. 
  • Before transporting, secure your load and make sure that it does not pose a hazard.
  • Do not block passageways and pedestrian routes.
  • Do not exceed the speed limit, obey traffic signs on external roads, and drive at 8 km/h on internal roads (halls).
  • Do not drive close to the edge.

MOVING AROUND ON WHEELS

  • Do not enter the plant premises with a faulty device. 
  • Do not ride next to another road user. 
  • Keep both hands on the handlebars. 
  • Always turn on your lights after dark.
  • Do not use your phone while riding. 
  • Do not smoke cigarettes/e-cigarettes, eat or drink while driving.
