Get ready for work—you must wear:

  • a work shirt and pants, 
  • work shoes with composite toe caps, 
  • work gloves.

Before you start work, remember that you must:

  • Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training,
  • Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
  • Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.
  • Be at least 18 years of age. 

Before starting work:

  • Familiarize yourself with the equipment documentation.
  • Check the location of the emergency switches.
  • Check the condition of the device: casing, covers, screws (make sure they are not loose).
  • Make sure that the power cord is not damaged.
  • Before performing maintenance, disconnect the device from the power supply.

During operation:

  • Follow the instructions and safe working methods.
  • Keep your workstation tidy.
  • Disconnect the device from the power supply during: adjustments, maintenance, replacement of components.
  • Protect the power cord from overheating, oil contamination, and sharp edges.
  • Do not overload the device.
  • Secure loose clothing items to prevent them from being caught in moving parts.

Operating the device

  • Turn on the device using the main switch.
  • Set the speed and direction of rotation with the potentiometer.
  • Insert the belt into the winder, pass it through the guide, and close it.
  • Check that the belt is properly secured and in good condition.
  • When winding, be careful with the hook end of the belt—it may hit you when you finish winding.
  • The winder will stop automatically when it detects the end of the belt.
  • Open the guide and remove the wound belt.

What should you NOT do?

  • allow unauthorized persons to operate the machine,
  • perform repairs or modifications yourself,
  • perform maintenance while the device is in operation.

Malfunction or accident?

  • If something breaks down, turn off the device, secure it against restarting, and report the fault to your supervisor.
  • If an accident has occurred, do not touch anything and inform your supervisor.
  • In the event of an accident, immediately administer first aid to the injured person and call the emergency services if necessary. 
  • Hang a sign on the damaged device: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR – DO NOT USE."
