Before you start work, you must:
- Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
- Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
- Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.
Before starting work:
- Check all cables and connections before starting up; if there are no leaks, you can use the lift.
- Make sure there are no third parties near the lift before starting it.
- Do not exceed the lift's maximum load capacity.
- Only lift vehicles that are properly balanced.
- Make sure that the vehicle's parking brake is engaged, wheel chocks are in place, and the vehicle is standing with all wheels on the lift's rollers.

During operation:
- Ensure that the vehicle is positioned correctly over the lift, in accordance with the operating instructions.
- After lifting, make sure that the locks are activated.
- Before lowering the vehicle, remove all obstacles from underneath it.
- Lower the vehicle to the ground with care and caution.
After finishing work:
- Turn off the lift and secure it against unauthorized access.
- Clean up the work area.
- Inspect the lift and report any faults to your supervisor.

What should NOT be done?
- Use a damaged lift.
- Have unauthorized persons make modifications or repairs.
- Remove covers or safety devices, short-circuit relays, or block switches.
- Overload electrical devices beyond the permissible value.
- Leave the lift unattended.
- Remove or tamper with factory covers.
Failure or accident?
- If something breaks down, secure the lift against restarting and report the fault to your supervisor.
- If an accident has occurred, do not move anything and inform your supervisor.
- Hang a sign on the damaged lift: "EQUIPMENT UNDER REPAIR - DO NOT USE."
