Get ready for work—you must wear:

  • A work shirt and pants,
  • Work shoes with composite toe caps,
  • Hearing protection, 
  • Safety glasses, 
  • Safety gloves. 

Before you start work, you must:

  • Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
  • Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
  • Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.

Before starting work: 

  • Plan the sequence of activities. 
  • Familiarize yourself with the brake test bench operating instructions. 
  • Check the technical condition of the equipment and the workplace. 
  • Check the condition and presence of guards. 
  • Prepare the necessary workshop tools. 
  • Ensure adequate working space. 
  • Secure the tested part properly in accordance with the operating instructions.

During operation:

  • Do not enter the designated area around the device while it is in operation. 
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment. 
  • Do not leave the dynamometer unattended during operation. 

After finishing work:

  • Turn off the dynamometer and secure it against unauthorized access.
  • Disconnect the tested part properly. 
  • Prepare the tested parts for transport. 

What should NOT be done?

  • Use a damaged dynamometer.
  • Have unauthorized persons make modifications or repairs. 
  • Remove covers.
  • Allow unauthorized persons to be present. 
  • Allow anyone to be present while the dynamometer is in operation.
  • Clean the dynamometer components during operation. 

Failure or accident?

  • If something breaks down, report the fault to your supervisor.
  • If an accident has occurred, do not touch anything and inform your supervisor.
  • Hang a sign on the damaged device: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR – DO NOT USE."
