Before you start work, you must:
- Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
- Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
- Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.
Before starting the mower:
- Check the condition of the mower, cutting elements, and guards.
- Report any faults to your supervisor.
- Check the fuel level and, if necessary, add fuel before starting work, using gloves.
- Familiarize yourself with the condition of the terrain on which you will be working, paying attention to, for example, holes, slopes, stones, and other objects that cannot be removed.
- Remove any objects that could get caught in the mower blades.
- Check that the controls and brake are working properly.
- Test the operator presence sensor. The sensor should activate when the operator stands up from the seat.

During operation:
- Use personal protective equipment.
- Make sure that no one is nearby when starting the engine and engaging the drive.
- If you are moving through areas that you are not mowing, stop the blades.
- Start work with the blades raised and lower them gradually.
- While working, observe the immediate surroundings of the mower.
- Adjust your speed to the terrain you are moving on.
- If the terrain is sloped, mow downhill and uphill.
- When mowing near a road, pay attention to traffic.

What should you NOT do?
- Start the machine in enclosed spaces or areas with poor ventilation.
- Carry passengers.
- Leave mowers running unattended.
- Use the mower in bad weather conditions.
- Touch the hot engine or exhaust system.
- Do not use a mower that is damaged.
- Do not wear loose clothing or clothing with loose hanging parts.
- Do not adjust the steering wheel or seat while the mower is in motion.
- Do not mow on slopes greater than 10 degrees.
- Do not leave the mower on a slope.
- Do not refuel in enclosed spaces or with the engine running.
- Do not overfill the fuel tank.
- Do not refuel the mower in places or situations where there is a fire hazard.

Breakdown or accident?
- If something breaks down, turn off the mower engine, secure it against restarting, and report the malfunction to your supervisor.
- If an accident has occurred, do not move anything and inform your supervisor.
- Hang a sign on the damaged mower saying: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR - DO NOT USE."
