Get ready for work—you must wear:

  • a work shirt and pants,
  • work shoes with composite toe caps,
  • safety glasses,
  • protective gloves.

Before you start work, remember that you must:

  • Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
  • Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
  • Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace. 

Before starting work: 

  • Connect the propane-butane gas cylinder, taking special care when performing this operation.
  • Connect the workstation to the power supply.

  • If the test device has not been used for a long time or if a malfunction is suspected, perform a test in accordance with the device operating instructions.
  • Follow the instructions and procedures. 

During operation:

  • Set up the device according to the requirements specified in the operating instructions.
  • Screw the probe manually into the sockets indicated in the operating instructions.
  • Check the condition of the probe thread; if damaged, repair it using the appropriate device.

  • Test only one probe at a time. 
  • Make sure that the room is well ventilated, the rubber cylinder connections are tight, and the cylinder is standing upright before opening the cylinder valve. 
  • Connect the signal cable, ground, and power cable to the probe heater. It may be unheated; use appropriate cables for this purpose.
  • Follow the instructions in the user manual for the rest of the process.

After completing the work:

  • Turn off the switches in the following order: 16, 17, 18.
  • Close the gas cylinder valve and, after the burner has gone out, valve 7. 
  • Check that the valves are closed. 
  • Remove the probe from the socket using a wrench, as the probe is hot. Place it on a ceramic table to cool down.
  • Turn off the machine.
  • Disconnect the propane-butane gas cylinder.
  • Clean up the work area.

What should NOT be done?

  • Allow unauthorized persons to work.
  • Work with damaged equipment.
  • Use the device in a poorly ventilated room.
  • Modify or repair the device yourself. 
  • Use the device for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
  • Paint over or remove safety labels. 

Failure or accident?

  • If something breaks, stop using the device and report the fault to your supervisor.
  • If an accident has occurred, do not touch anything and inform your supervisor.
  • Hang a sign saying "OUT OF SERVICE" on the damaged workstation.
  • In the event of an accident, immediately administer first aid to the injured person and call the emergency services if necessary.
