Before you start work, remember that you must:
- Complete health and safety training and on-the-job training.
- Have no health contraindications to performing the work.
- Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.
Before starting work with a manual pneumatic stapler:
- Prepare auxiliary equipment for storing materials, instruments, tools, and waste.
- Put on the required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.
- Plan the sequence of operations.
- Check the technical condition of the stapler, safety devices, and the tightness of screws and nuts.
- Connect the stapler to the hoses and check for leaks.
- Perform a test run and check that the stapler is working properly.
- Report any faults you notice immediately to your supervisor.

During work:
- Keep your workplace tidy, do not scatter tools and items intended for processing or already processed.
- Arrange the materials to be stapled in a stable manner.
- Use staples that are appropriately sized for the material being stapled.
- Gradually remove unnecessary materials.

After finishing work:
- Turn off the device.
- Clean up the work area.
- Clean the device according to the manufacturer's instructions. Before cleaning, unplug the device and use only a soft cloth with a mild soap and water solution.
- Make sure that the device does not pose a hazard to the environment.
What NOT to do:
- Remove the covers and safety devices from the pneumatic stapler.
- Point the stapler toward yourself or others.
- Hold the stapler by any part other than the handle.
- Carry the stapler while it is connected, e.g., on a belt (close to the body).
- Shoot into thin elements (possibility of puncture).
- Use the stapler in areas where there is a risk of explosion.
- Work with the stapler on unstable surfaces.
- Shoot staples into the air.
- Use the stapler without staples – empty shot.
- Use gasoline or other flammable liquids for cleaning.
- Exceed the maximum allowable pressure.
- Press the trigger while carrying the stapler; never carry the stapler by the cord or use it to move the device.
- Place your hands or other body parts in the stapling path.
Malfunction or accident?
- If something breaks, disconnect the stapler from the power supply, secure it against restarting, and report the fault to your supervisor.
- If an accident has occurred, do not touch anything and inform your supervisor.
- Hang a sign on the damaged device saying: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR – DO NOT TURN ON."
