Before you start work, you must:
- complete health and safety and fire safety training and on-the-job training,
- have no health contraindications to performing the work,
- be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.
Before starting work:
- check the technical condition of the equipment, maintenance, and nameplates,
- check the operation of the safety buttons (STOP, main switch),
- make sure that all plugs are disconnected before moving the platform,
- remove obstacles from the work area,
- check the maximum load capacity:
- 10 kg on the rear shelf,
- 120 kg on the platform (approx. 80 kg person + 40 kg equipment),
- load only when the platform is lowered,
- check clothing and hair for the risk of entanglement,
- at least two people are required for operation (operator + safety person on the ground),
- read the manufacturer's "Operating Instructions" section before use.
During operation:
- follow ergonomic principles when lifting and loading,
- use the device only on hard and level ground,
- observe the permissible inclines specified by the manufacturer,
- be careful when driving with the platform raised,
- check the space above the device (risk of collision and crushing),
- place all loads inside the basket or on the shelf,
- the operator must wear a fall arrest harness.
After finishing work:
- tidy up the workstation,
- if the work has not been completed, secure the area against access by unauthorized persons,
- report to your supervisor that the work has been completed.
What is NOT ALLOWED?
- use a phone, headphones, or listen to music,
- perform repairs or maintenance on a connected machine,
- approach electrical/hydraulic systems with fire or heat sources,
- increase the working height (ladders, scaffolding),
- attach platforms to the building structure,
- use the device as a crane, tow truck, or elevator,
- work in windy conditions or outdoors,
- use the device in a fire zone or explosion hazard zone,
- expose the machine to water, moisture, corrosion, wash with a pressure washer,
- overload platforms or shelves,
- throw small objects onto the chains and mast,
- load horizontal loads while the platform is moving,
- load people or materials onto a raised platform,
- lift overhanging loads,
- use inappropriate harnesses,
- work in loose clothing, with loose hair, or wearing jewelry,
- touch live wires,
- start the machine during maintenance work or when there is a prohibition on starting it.
Malfunction or accident?
- If something breaks down, turn off the device, secure it against restarting, and report the fault to your supervisor.
- If an accident has occurred, do not move anything and inform your supervisor.
- In the event of an accident, immediately administer first aid to the injured person and call the emergency services if necessary.
- Hang a sign on the damaged device saying: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR – DO NOT USE."
- During repairs, disconnect the power supply and mark the work area.
- In case of fire, disconnect the device from the power supply.
- In case of danger, immediately press the emergency stop button.
