Before you start work, remember that you must:

  • Be familiar with the operating instructions for the machines and equipment used at your workplace.

Before starting work:

  • Put on personal protective equipment, in particular check the condition of gloves.
  • Check the technical condition of the equipment at the workplace.
  • Check electrical connections (cables, plugs).
  • Make sure that all elements of the workplace are properly secured.
  • Check the operation of the cooling fans behind the shrink tunnel.
  • Perform a test run of the machine and check the control system switches.

During operation:

  • Keep your workstation tidy.
  • Be careful due to the high voltage and temperature of the workstation components.
  • Only use equipment that is in full working order and report any faults to your supervisor.
  • Do not put mixtures and gases into the tunnel.
  • Be careful with your hands when lowering the welding frame.
  • Do not touch the resistance wire in the frame.
  • Do not put your hands into the shrink tunnel.
  • Ensure that the cooling fans behind the tunnel remain in continuous operation.
  • Do not turn off the tunnel with the main switch before it has cooled down to at least 100°C.
  • Remember that the tunnel restores its previous settings when it is turned back on.
  • Turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power supply in case of damage or malfunction.

After finishing work:

  • Turn off the sealing machine and other equipment included in the workstation.
  • Tidy up your workstation, tools, and protective equipment.

Failure or accident?

  • If something breaks down, disconnect the welding machine from the power supply, secure it against restarting, and report the fault to your supervisor.
  • If an accident has occurred, do not move anything and inform your supervisor.
  • In the event of a machine failure that poses a threat to the environment, warn everyone in a way that is understandable to everyone.
  • Hang a sign on the damaged device/machine: "DEVICE UNDER REPAIR – DO NOT TURN ON."
